How does the motorized cellular shade function?

Motorized cellular shades have 2 options, the wand motor and remote motor.

Wand motor works by pulling on wand to lower and raise the shade, you can also choose what side the wand goes on 

Remote motor works by remote control 

Both of them are rechargeable
