Which lining helps save on heating and still looks good?

  • Operable draperies will definitely help your home to be more energy efficient.  We usually choose lining based on the light filtering level desired first, then consider the other options from there. 

  • Thermal lining is technically a "dim-out" which is a little less darkening than blackout, but also includes a layer that prevents air flow through it.  So, if it was hot or cold outside the window, that air would be trapped behind the drapery when fully closed.
